About Trayn
Trayn is a free live train tracker for France. It gives simple answers to the questions travellers ask: where is my train, is it late, which platform does it leave from, is it cancelled?
What Trayn does
Trayn brings together real-time rail information for the TGV INOUI, OUIGO, TER, Intercités, Transilien and international trains running in France:
- Train searchDelay, platform, stops and composition of a train, by number or by route
- Live mapThe estimated position of every train running, live
- Station boardsDepartures and arrivals for more than 3,000 stations
- DisruptionsCancelled trains, ongoing incidents and strike days
- Late trainsEvery train running late right now
- Station displayA station departure screen, in your browser
Trayn is also available as an app for iPhone and Android, with alerts for delays, cancellations and platform changes.
Where the data comes from
Trayn relies on public data:
- open timetables from SNCF Voyageurs and regional networks (GTFS format), published on transport.data.gouv.fr among others;
- real-time feeds published by SNCF: delays, cancellations, platforms and disruption causes;
- OpenStreetMap for railway tracks and maps.
Trayn combines these sources, estimates train positions and measures punctuality over time. Information is provided for guidance only: before travelling, always check with SNCF or the operator. Trayn is listed as an open data reuse on data.gouv.fr. Full credits are in the legal notice.
An independent service
Trayn is an independent project, built and published in France. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or funded by SNCF or any other rail operator. Trayn does not sell tickets: it is only for tracking trains.
