Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my train is cancelled?
Enter your train number in the field at the top of the page. You will find it on your ticket, in your confirmation email or on the departure boards at the station.
Why can a train be cancelled outside of a strike?
A cancellation can be caused by an incident, engineering works, severe weather, operating conditions or a rolling stock issue. Trayn gathers the available disruptions by network and by line, even without industrial action.
When are cancellations announced?
Timing varies with the type of disruption. Check the day before departure, then again on the day of travel.
My train is not listed as cancelled. Will it run?
It should run as planned, but a last-minute cancellation is still possible. Check again on the day of departure or use the train search page to follow the train.
